Euthanasia is no longer acceptable in the modern society Essay

Euthanasia is the painless killing of a patient suffering from an incurable disease. It is also known as “mercy killing and physician-assisted suicide. It is basically termination of life by a doctor at the request of the patient. There are different euthanasia laws in each country. Also, euthanasia is categorized in three different ways voluntary euthanasia, non-voluntary euthanasia, and involuntary euthanasia. Voluntary euthanasia is legal in some countries while other two are illegal in almost every country. But my opinion is every type of euthanasia should be banned in every country because no one has right to take someone’s life. Taking someone’s life is a sin according to every law and religion. No one has right to declare someone’s death.

According to my opinion, Euthanasia is not the solution to any problem. We can’t solve the problem by killing someone, there might be a few chances to cure the diseases. I think everyone has the right to fight for their own survival. Human life is a gift from God and thus should be allowed to choose their own fate. If euthanasia is made legal in society then physically challenged people will be more vulnerable to it. But we have seen that they do not end their life like this, we have seen many handicapped people who are independent and educated.

Another drawback if euthanasia is accepted in the society will be the families will no longer care for the ill members. Physically challenged people will suffer more from this, their families may end their lives in childhood or maybe they will not take care of them as they do now. Also, old people will suffer from this if euthanasia is made legal in society. We have seen many people who do not take care of their aged parents, that kind of people may use euthanasia to end their lives.  So there are many other disadvantages also.

To conclude, we ought to respect human life as if is a gift from God. We must not accept euthanasia in our society and prevent our society from mercy killing and from other disadvantages which can happen if euthanasia made legal.
