The Commonwealth Game is an international multi-sport event involving athletes from Commonwealth Game nations. The first-ever event was held in 1930 and has taken place every 4 years since then. With 216 athletes in 15 sports India completed at 2018 Commonwealth Game on the Gold Coast, Austria from 4 to 15 April 2013.

Commonwealth Game 2018 has been historical in more than two sense as India landed it 500th medal at the event and with 26 gold, 20 silver, 20 bronze that is a total of 66 medals (64 in 2014) India finished 3rd (5th in 2014) for the tournament their best position since 2010 Commonwealth Game.
